Europe

Europe has refined taste – that’s the way I have always seen it as. And truth be told, my experience there so far, has proved it right. It has a very different culture of food than back home in Asia – still filled with people, but slower, less rowdy and more alcohol.

While my travels to Europe have always been for holiday where I can take all the time in the world to eat, the food is by far what I enjoy the most. Even a simple breakfast of bread, eggs, bacon and tea can be made so elegantly.

European cuisine is seen as very highly in terms of sustainability – with the Slow Food Movement and the Mediterranean diet. With a strong foothold in the political world, Europe and its citizens have much to contribute to reshaping and realigning our global food system.
