Insomnia in the night sky
I dream of sleeping
to the sound of thunder and rain
Darkness pulls me in
as I try to rest
but the world drags me back
Stars shine down
The world is sleeping
all around me
Will the darkness hold me?
I finally lay my head to rest
I hear my grandmother’s words:
“Go to bed, sleep, and dream.”
The night sky isn’t as bad as it seems.
