Brass Woman by Nina Woerheide

Brass woman, her body raw, rough edges, transformed by the forging,
The unbearable heat, the repetitiveness of life on the iron anvil.
But behold the brass woman, work-worn and tired,
She emerges the most beautiful of them all,
With a voice that brings us winding through the milky way.
