Horse Whisperer
David G. Colwell
Phyllis Anderson (married to Wayne Anderson who was with Hedstrom Lumber Co. in Grand Marais, MN.) played oboe for the Duluth Symphony Orchestra, but her passion has always been Icelandic horses. Here she introduces us to one of her favorites.
Phyllis’ five Icelandic horses graze in wooded pastures over the hill from their homestead on the Gunflint Trail. When she whistles, they come bounding over the hill to their corral, and wait for their treats – enjoying the attention of any visitors in attendance that day. It is a wonder-filled sight.
