Dedication

Philip, our third child, was almost four when we went to Ethiopia in 1969. He loved the food and the people and the Ethiopians loved him too! For the past several years, Philip and his wife Helen have sponsored, taught, and led Bible Quiz teams among the Ethiopian young people of an Ethiopian Church in Minneapolis. These young people have competed in their second language, showing their mastery of English as well as of Scripture. I dedicate this book to Philip Osterlund with respect and my greatest affection.
