Face-whipping wind, I’m burning to numb

Gulls, ducks bobbing and only a
Few runners, first lighter gait, then heavy steps.
Boardwalk trembling, weather
To come, weather
Remembered.
Life and death at sea/lake Superior.
Free my breath, my head, my heart.
Broken rails and guideposts floating
Down the trench
a ravine comes to mind
water station, sans need today.
Busy bees, back at work. School is starting, next week.
