When Everything Changed
As I was ordering a drink at Starbucks, I saw him. He had blue eyes, and curly hair. That is all I will tell you for now. I wish I went up to him, but I didn’t, yet. But don’t worry I am planning on going back tomorrow. I will go sit in the same spot and search for his face in the crowd, his curly hair and blue eyes. It’s all I can think about right now.
I don’t think I will get my homework done today. I still have to complete an entire speech. I haven’t even started it–ahhh! I am supposed to write a speech about myself, but what do I even have to write about? This last year nothing has happened to me worth sharing. What does she want me to write about, sleeping and watching tv? I honestly don’t know what to do. I am probably just going to wing it.
Right now I am sitting in bed in sweats and a hoodie and, you probably aren’t surprised, but I am also watching TV. It’s really weird for me to be back at school after the last year. COVID really changed everything.
Before COVID hit here, it was boring. I woke up at 6:30 weekdays and got ready for school. I went to school for the day, then did homework at home. At that point most kids would probably go hangout with friends, but I don’t have many. I have one best friend. She doesn’t live close though so us hanging out is a rare occurrence, but when we do it is always special.
Anyways, getting back to what I was saying. Life was boring. Eat. Sleep. School. Repeat. That was my life. Then COVID hit.
