Before the Chandelier Falls
Introduction
It all happened so quickly. I had no say in it whatsoever. Sure it was different, and weird, when it all started. I was never expecting it so start like this… but I never expected it to end like this, at all.
Hi, I’m Hazel. My life took a huge turn in the past year, and I don’t know if it was for the better or the worst, but I tried my best to be happy. It’s just really hard to be happy, especially when I’m going through a roller coaster emotions. Death, hate, heartbreak, and so much more.
You might be wondering, why I’m going through all of these emotions. Here is my story of how it all started. This is how it all happened.
Chapter 1: The Past
I remember how things used to be. When I was younger, and when everything In life seemed like it was all rainbows and unicorns. I never had to worry about anything. As I grew older, I started to discover the harsh truth. Life wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns.
I started to realize this when I turned 10. Little things had huge impacts. Suddenly, private conversations, were public, and I didn’t know who I could trust. Since I was an only child, I didn’t have any siblings to talk to. Things got even worse for me when my best friend, Rose, moved to Alabama. I knew that I was going to get over it, and I did. Though I didn’t find a friend like her, I did have many friends. Although most of them were gossipers, I didn’t mind. They were all friendly for the most part. But I couldn’t trust them half of how much I trusted Rose.
Life goes on though, and I was a really good student at school, I had straight ‘A’s.’ So I was really focused on my studies. Because of this, I didn’t realize how much I needed a friend like Rose though, not until I turned 15, and my life took a turn for the worst, and I could have never imagined that this could happen to me. I may have even thought about suicide, but that’s not important right now.
Then the chandelier fell.
