I swallowed a Brick House
I swallowed a Brick House
Where I laid the Weary Fears to
Rest
turned to Demons in the Night
in the light of day they banged
their Fists against the walls
I carried on
The moat swam with Bloody
barons
trading fish for memories
I put the weary to bed
Sliding suddenly in their eyes
Sit tight for a while
Brick house swam in icy
chamber
knocking holes in the walls
and out
swam the fish
Gave way to jagged edges and
comfort sheen removed
Slipped away into the Deep
I thought all was Lost
and
Rejoiced
An iceberg sank the Titanic
jagged edges
Ripped me from bow to stern
I’m left wanting
How can I
carry
on
All that I
wanted is lost
Perched on a raft
Center of cold lake
silver flashes dart
the distance to shore
Vise tightens
