Hi, my name is Lilly. I am 15 years old. I have two sisters and two brothers. My sisters’ names are Hailey who is 18, and Alex is nine. My brother Luke is seven, and Jacob is 21. My mom’s name is Emily, and my dad’s name is Nick. I live in Minnesota on a farm. This is my story.

“The bus is here!” Alex said.

“Okay, kids, grab your backpack and lunch,” Mom said.

“Bye! Love you!”

“Love you, too! Okay move, move, move, you can’t be late!”

30 minutes later

Ring!

“Okay, class, we have an art project due in two weeks! So right now you should write down your ideas!” said the teacher.

“Can I go to the bathroom?” I asked. “Sure, be quick, ok?”

“Hey, Lilly, you going home because your tummy hurts?” that stupid James asked.

“No, I’m going to the bathroom! Stop it, James!”

“Oh, sorry am I bugging you?”

“No.”

“Oh, yeah, I think so!”

“So what if you are? You know I’m going to do a better job on my art project.”

Just then the teacher chimed in, “JAMES! Get busy and leave Lilly alone! Get to work!”

After school

“So Lilly, do you want to come to my house?” asked my friend, Charley.

“I don’t know, I would have to call my mom.”

“So call her.”

“Okay.” (Ring, Ring, Ring,)

“Hi mom, can I go hang out with Charley?”

“Did you do your art project?”

“Oh, that’s right.”

“What did she say?”

“I have to do my art project.”

“Noo!!”

“Sorry. I have to do my art project.”

“Fine! Go! You have fun because we are not friends anymore!”

“What? No no no! Please no! Oh, no, what did I do?”

At home

“I’m home!”

“Oh hi, Honey, how was your day?”

“How do you think? James was bullying me again! And now Charlie does not want to be my friend!”

“I am so sorry.”

“I’m going to my room!”

“Okay, make sure you do your art project because it is due tomorrow.”

“Okay. I’m going through a lot for this art project.” THINK…. So what should it be? Hmmm. What about…ART, yes art that is perfect. Let me do a beach theme. So, I need to get sand and mini umbrellas and make clay people. And water for the ocean. What else, hmm. Mini seashells. Okay let’s do this…

I need to start with a base; what about cardboard? Then sand all over, but not in the water. How would I make water? I’ll use blue and white clay for the water, then make the people out of clay. Perfect. Stick the umbrellas in the sand, seashells or I mean mini seashells. Omg, this is perfect, it looks so real.

“Mom! Mom, come quickly. I did it so so so good!!! Wow, it is incredible!”

At school

“Ok, now, Lily, it is your turn to present your project.”

“Ok, so I did a beach theme because I love the beach. Here is my use of different colors and textures…”

“Wow, Lily, that is incredible! A+ for you!”

Ten years later

“Hi, yes I would love to!”

“Ok guys, so I just got off the phone with Vincent Van Gogh, the best artist ever! He wants me to paint a bunch of pictures for the art gallery!”

“Hello, yes this is lily! You what? No way! You have to be joking! Ok, yes of course! Now you need me to RUN the gallery? I’m so excited!”

Three hours after the art gallery.

Everyone wants to get my autograph. They say I am famous and love my paintings. Oh, if only that bully James could see me now! And Charley unfriended me just because I wanted to do a good job! If they could just see me now!
