The Burger Palace

    Once there was a guy named Jake. His parents owned a restaurant called the Jordan. (They were huge Michael Jordan fans!) Jake worked at the restaurant on the weekends. On his first day working there he worked back where the burgers were flipped. His parents told him the list of how to build the burger: bottom of the bun, burger patty, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and top of the bun. He didn’t listen. He added the wrong ingredients.

HE ACCIDENTALLY ADDED THE INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THE BURGER TALK AND WALK! He added LIVING SEASONING and TALK BACK seasoning! Once he cooked them, they jumped up and ran out the back door. Jake chased after them. They ran to the park and climbed up a tree.

“Ha Ha, you can’t catch me!” taunted the burgers.

Jake called his brother, Leroy, for help. “Leroy, the burgers are running away!!” Jake shouted. He felt like the Swedish Chef on the Muppet Show having a bad day!

Leroy hopped on his bike and rushed to the restaurant. He saw nothing. He looked across the street and saw his brother chasing the burgers. He rushed over to help.

“What happened?” asked Leroy.

“I didn’t listen to Mom and Dad’s instructions for making burgers, and now the burgers are out of control!” wailed Jake.

“You must have put LIVING SEASONING in the burger by mistake!” said Leroy.

“Oh no, this is bad!” said Jake.

Then the boys secretly followed the burgers. They were led to a whole palace of burgers! This fancy palace, made out of ground beef and buns, is where all the burgers go when people put Living Seasoning in by mistake.

Jake and Leroy need to think of a plan. They thought they could make more burgers and train them to fight the burgers that got away. Jake and LeRoy went back to the restaurant to make more burgers.

Once they taught the burgers how to fight, they went back to the burger palace. The runaway burgers fought Jake and Leroy’s burgers. After many angry words and negative communication, Jake and Leroy’s burgers won! The runaway burgers had no choice but to go back to the restaurant and be sold.

Jake and LeRoy celebrated and made burgers without Living Seasoning. They ate. They laughed. They agreed to follow directions correctly next time!! The burgers were delicious! It was a happy ending.
