I first meet Ray when he wandered into the library at Lake Superior College looking for some original photographs he had taken back in the 1970’s and gifted to the school. I was familiar with the prints, a dozen or so, now somewhat faded photos of beautiful Native Americans proudly posed in traditional dress that had traveled from study rooms…, but I knew nothing about the man at the time. Over time, he can back to visit, to share his incredible stories. He spoke of his childhood in Duluth, his travels to Alaska, his time in nature.
