Three East Hospice

I’ve never seen such a friendly bunch,
Even in this time of stress.
Perhaps, it’s because I’m seventy-two
And badly in need of rest…
And they come,
Blondes, brunettes and red-heads, too,
With hugs and kisses
And “I love you’s…”
Where, oh where,
Were they
When I was twenty-two.
