Louis Barber Wahl

I watch.

you glide and soar

Through synthetic skies

In fluid frames

but I can only walk on fragile mesh

Forward and back again.

save/quit

I think of you as much as i’m allowed

We’re made of the same thing

But for a moment I can almost see the real you

behind your vessel

I want to imagine your tenderness

Your wonderful imperfections

I want to feel your skin

To understand you like no other

But I can’t.

save/quit

How free it must feel to move between worlds

To live somewhere uncertain

when you touch the ground

we seem equal for a moment.

two blinking lights in a dark room,

If not for my megabyte mind I might hate you.
