The Girl With Auburn Hair

by Caleigh VanKempen

With sun kissed skin.

You would never know how hard

 life has been

For girls with auburn hair

As tears trickle down

her soft powdered cheek

She’ll forget the rest of the world exists

and just push through

to maintain her perfect image

The arguing never stops

For bank account numbers only drop

It is taxing to be at home

For the girl with the beautiful auburn hair

has no more left in her to show she cares

With grades of A’s and B’s

she passes school in a breeze

For she uses it as a way to escape

the mayhem of her home

It’s just a girl with auburn hair

why would she actually care

about the disaster going on around her

She has her beauty

She has her mind

But she does not have a home

So she learned to be kind

because she is not the only one

whose mind is twisted and broken

Others to are at a standstill with there emotion

and not everybody can win that battle
