Sweet Spring

by Caleigh VanKempen

The morning air sweet

with blooming bulbs

Profuse with pastels

The never-ending darkness of winter

coming to an end

My senses tingle

With every breath

As pollen engulfs my lungs

Though rain will soon fall

Thunder will rumble and lightning will flash

In an untimely celestial brawl

Then disappear into the

Starlit air

Spring is finally here

But you are nowhere near
