Redwood Falls Public Library
The first Redwood Falls Public Library was built in 1904 with a $10,000 Andrew Carnegie Grant, built on the corner of Fourth and Jefferson. That building served Redwood Falls for 91 years. In 1995, a new structure was built at Chestnut and Lincoln, a

14,150 square foot library built without tax dollars. The strong community response matched a donor’s $500,000 match and 1.8 million was raised, with the new library opening in January 1996. Currently a design plan is in place and $2.2 million raised for a 7,000 square foot, 3.2 million project.
The library hosts a large variety of events for the community, and visits top 60,000 yearly.
