301      AGENCY ADMINISTRATION

I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to clarify the role of the NWSC administration and its relationship with the governing board.

 

II. GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY

  1. Effective administration and sound management practices are essential to realizing leadership excellence.  It is the responsibility of the NWSC administration to develop an agency environment that recognizes the dignity of each client, learner and employee.
  2. The governing board expects all activities related to the operation of the NWSC to be administered in a well-planned manner, conducted in an orderly fashion, and to be consistent with the policies of the governing board.
  3. The governing board shall seek specific recommendations, background information and professional advice from the NWSC administration, and will hold the administration accountable for sound management of this agency.
  4. Although the governing board holds the Executive Director ultimately responsible for administration of the NWSC, the governing board also recognizes the direct responsibility of the full administrative team as well as program coordinators.
  5. The governing board and NWSC administration shall work together to share information and decisions that best serve the needs of NWSC clients within financial and facility constraints that may exist.
