203      OPERATION OF THE BOARD GOVERNING RULES

I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to provide governing rules for the conduct of meetings of the board.

II. GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY

An orderly board meeting allows board members to participate in discussion and decision of NWSC issues. Rules of order allow board members the opportunity to review agency-related topics, discuss agency business items, and bring matters to conclusion in a timely and consistent manner.

III.  RULES OF ORDER

Rules of order for board meetings shall be as follows:

  1. Minnesota statutes where specified;
  2. Specific rules of order as provided by the board consistent with Minnesota statutes;
  3. Robert’s Rules of Order, Revised (latest edition) were not inconsistent with A and B above.
