POLICY:  104

ADOPTED: September 2002

Revised:  July 2003, September 2003

104      SERVICE COOPERATIVE MISSION STATEMENT

I. PURPOSE

The reason to have this policy is to establish a clear statement of the purpose for which the Service Cooperative exists.

 II. GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY

The Board of Directors believes that a mission statement should be adopted.  The mission statement should be based on the beliefs and values of the region, should direct any change effort and should be the basis on which decisions are made.  The Board of Directors, on behalf of and with extensive participation by the community, should develop a consensus among its members regarding the nature of the enterprise the board governs, the purposes it serves, the constituencies it should consider, and the results it intends to produce.

III.       MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the Northwest Service Cooperative, NWSC, is to be a Regional Leadership Partner with Schools, Cities, Counties, and Other Governmental Agencies and to plan and provide Innovative Programs and Quality Services that maximize resources.
