The definition of economics is the social science concerned with the allocation of scarce resources in a society of unlimited wants. Students generally are taken aback by the definition as they tend to think of economics as the study of money. The definition tends to intimidate students until they figure out by the end of the course that economics is nothing more than the study of how an individual or group of individuals make a decision. Students have been using economics all their lives making choices with their time and resources. A class in economics does not teach the student anything new, but rather, a different way of looking at their individual and society actions. The goal of this small project is to show the student they already have a good basic understanding of the economic discipline. In the end, life turns us all into economists.
