Lake County Press

The Lake County Press, a weekly newspaper published on Fridays, covers the communities of Silver Bay, Two Harbors and Finland.  The newspaper reaches over 1,700 households each week.

 

The Reader

Called “the best paper money can’t buy,” The Reader Weekly is one of the last of its kind, a weekly free newspaper, locally owned & operated, and one of the largest weekly print publications in the country.

 

The Bark

The Bark is the University of Minnesota Duluth’s official student news organization. The Bark is run completely by UMD students and publishes content online daily to an audience of over 10,000 students with topics ranging from hard news, sports and outdoors, and culture and entertainment. Once a month The Bark publishes a free print magazine that can be found on racks around UMD’s campus and the Duluth community.

The Bark is always looking for volunteers interested in writing, editing, graphic design, photography, social media, or marketing.

Magazines

Lake Superior Magazine

Lake Superior Magazine brings spectacular photos and award-winning reporting on the Big Lake lifestyle, outdoor recreation, travel, events and people from all four shores – Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin & Ontario since 1979.
Lake Superior Magazine has offered internships on the editorial side who have written for the magazine and have considered sales internships.

Word on the Street

Word on the Street (WOTS) is released twice per semester and has been published since 1999. WOTS Magazine is written, laid out, and printed by young adult Christians who love Jesus and want to write about God, life and college. WOTS is available on the UW-Stout, UW-Superior, and UW-River Falls campuses.
