LIFE 97.3 (James)

Offering positive and encouraging Christian music radio for Duluth, Superior, and all of the Northland of MN and Wisconsin, Life 97.3 exists to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.

Life 97.3 is a part of the Northwestern Media Network, from The University of Northwestern in Saint Paul, MN.  Today, Northwestern Media operates 14 listener-supported Christian radio stations throughout the Midwest.

WDSE-FM, The North

WDSE-FM, Duluth Public Radio, has been the Northland’s source of alternative radio since 1957, with a variety of music and programming. From jazz, to blues, to hip-hop, to indie, we keep an eclectic mix of music on the airwaves.  We also offer public affairs and arts programming.

WDSE-FM offers internship opportunities, in the news department, in the music department, in marketing opportunities that include video production and photography, social media, graphic design and underwriting.  (Underwriting is working with external companies to be underwriters, financial supporters of WDSE-FM.)  WDSE-FM offers opportunities to be on-air as well.

WDSE-TV

WDSE is a Public Broadcasting Service member television station licensed to Duluth, Minnesota, United States, serving northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. The station is owned by the Duluth–Superior Area Educational Television Corporation.

WDSE-TV provides a venue for national and local educational, cultural and public affairs programming. Venture North premiered as a half-hour magazine-style program designed to acquaint Northland viewers with the unique people and places of the Lake Superior basin. WDSE-TV followed with Doctors on Call in 1982, creating a medical call-in show, featuring physicians from Duluth and surrounding communities. Eventually, in response to community needs, WDSE added more shows, including Minnesota Legislative Report, Album, Lawyers on the Line, Family Focus, Almanac North, Iron Country, Waasa Inaabidaa, Native Report, and other specials and documentaries.
