Meadow Hawkweed

This plant is a noxious invasive weed and should be eradicated when possible. It grows in disturbed soil areas, such as in the driveway of a forested cabin lot on Little Bass Lake, just for starters.  It and its cousin, orange hawkweed, are both invasive species with very similar characteristics such as hairy leaves (top and bottom) and stems. Leaves are basal mostly, with the stem rising leafless (except for perhaps a few very small leaf-like leaves) until it reaches the flower cluster all bunched together at the top of the stem.
