Common Blue Violet

Viola sororia is most likely a common sight in your lawn and garden. This well adapted, dainty violet is native to Minnesota growing from 3″ to 8″ tall in both shade and sun, lawns, roadsides, fields and woods, blooming April through June. For such a gentle being, she can be quite persistent in my garden, but I don’t mind!
