Little-leaf Buttercup

One day, while crossing a very dry gravel road area that has mostly non native species of flowers (such as tansy), I almost stepped on a tiny, yellow flower clump that had probably been mowed several times, and certainly driven over repeatedly. Curious, I soon discovered this diminutive flower to be Ranunculus abortivus, a plant native to Minnesota and a sweet sight to see in the midst of all the exotic, invasive flowers I found surrounding it. Flowers are only about 1/4″ wide. [Leaf shape quite distinctive for IDing.]
