Introduction

This is a story based on the love displayed by two older brothers, to their young sister. Set in the St. Paul’s East Side in the early 1930’s, it is a celebration of caring and persistence beyond the seemingly limited realities of the day. Without ever invoking the word God they demonstrated His presence and Divine Love.

The script-like formatting of the book was used in order to simultaneously engage all five of our young granddaughters, and their parents, in the traditional Christmastime re-telling of this tale. We hope you, whether solely or with a group of young readers, will enjoy this story and return to it often during the Holiday Season.
